Neway Wayessa

Neway was born and raised in Ethiopia and attended Addis Ababa University where she majored in Management Information Systems before migrating to the United States. She earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of the District of Columbia. She is passionate about connecting with diverse communities and advocating to prevent intimate partner violence. Before joining The Person Center, Neway volunteered with several nonprofit organizations and community colleges to raise awareness around domestic violence in African communities and assisted in planning education and awareness activities for domestic violence.
